Gies Therapy

Welcome
My name is Nicole Gies. I am a licensed psychotherapist. I graduated in 2004 from Loyola University of Chicago with a masters degree in social work. I completed my graduate fieldwork at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Stone Institute of Psychiatry and the Community Counseling Centers of Chicago. I have clinical experience in outpatient, inpatient, and day treatment setting with both youth and adults with mental health diagnoses. I am a certified grief support specialist from the University of Wisconsin Madison. I am also certified in telemental health.
I am married with three children, and am a mother of twins. I have been an animal lover since birth and have two dogs, a hedgehog, and fish. I am interested in animal assisted therapy and hope to integrate animals into my counseling sessions in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy vacationing up north and boating.
