My name is Nicole Gies. I am a licensed psychotherapist. I graduated in 2004 from Loyola University of Chicago with a masters degree in social work. I completed my graduate fieldwork at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Stone Institute of Psychiatry and the Community Counseling Centers of Chicago. I have clinical experience in outpatient, inpatient, and day treatment setting with both youth and adults with mental health diagnoses. I am a certified grief support specialist from the University of Wisconsin Madison. I am also certified in telemental health.
I am married with three children, and am a mother of twins. I have been an animal lover since birth and have two dogs, a hedgehog, and fish. I am interested in animal assisted therapy and hope to integrate animals into my counseling sessions in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy vacationing up north and boating.

7 AND OLDER:
Exceptions/Limitations to Care:
- Medication Requirements:
If symptoms are severe or are unable to be managed with psychotherapy only, the client must be under the care of a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
If a prescriber is involved in your care, it is important that the therapist coordinate care with the prescriber for continuity of care.
- Residency Requirements:
I do provide both in person and telehealth counseling services. Due to licensing requirements, I am only able to provide psychotherapy with individuals who reside in the state of Wisconsin. The client must be in the state of Wisconsin during telehealth sessions.
Individuals will need high speed internet.
If using a smart phone, clients will need to download an app prior to the session.
Telephonic sessions are generally not covered by insurance panels.
